ERS is a digital fleet management solution with customized live business intelligence dashboards for mining haul trucks and heavy equipment that operate aboveground & underground. This solution enhances fleet availability and fuel efficiency, lowers maintenance expenses, and delivers real-time business intelligence to inform decision-making. ERS has had significant impact on client operations by achieving an average of 40% fuel savings and 15% reduction in maintenance costs. Moreover, ERS was awarded the 'Digital Solutions for Mining Award 2023' from MEMSA (Mining Equipment Manufacturers of South Africa) during the Annual MEMSA MindShift Conference 2023. ERS incorporates Internet-of-Things (IoT) enabled devices to collect data of interest from haul trucks and heavy equipment in real-time. This solution integrates the IOT data with data from other sources such as maintenance management software, fleet scheduling software, fuel transactions database etc. and performs analysis on the data using machine learning algorithms to produce actionable insights visualized through customized BI dashboards (available on web and mobile application) to inform decisions in real-time. The IoT devices that are compatible to ERS include: 1. GPS Tracking Device (+ Driver ID Tag) - An advanced GPS tracking device installed to collect data such as driver ID, location, engine run time, idling, kilometers travelled, route history, speed, driver behavior, driver panic and accident alerts. Moreover, this device allows for remote engine immobilization. 2. In-tank Fuel Sensor - Fuel sensor to accurately measure fuel levels in haul trucks and equipment in real-time. Furthermore, sensors provide detail information about fuel tank fueling and draining. It also prevents fraud, draining and unauthorized use of fuel. 3. In-cab Video Cameras - The system supports up to 4 cameras that record continuously when the ignition is on and for a set time after it's off. Users can stream camera channels over GPRS and access historical trip videos via the Web UI or mobile app with ample storage capacity.
