The Novatek hydropower manifold is used in the working area to connect multiple tools to the incoming water supply via isolating fuses. It may also be used at a pump outlet to connect the delivery hose and provide connections for tools or test points. The Novatek hydropower fuse is both an isolating valve and a hydraulic safety fuse in one assembly. The function of the safety fuse is to rapidly reduce flow in the event of a downstream hose failure. • Independent isolating and fusing valves. No 1 and 2 are combined in a single unit. • No 3 fuse is combined with a separate ball valve to minimize flow losses. • Tolerant of dirt ingress. • Operation over a wide pressure range. • Simple operation; easy to troubleshoot.

HYDROPOWERED CHAINSAW
The Novatek hydropowered chainsaw uses a Cheetah frame, blade and chain, powered by a Novatek pelton motor and lubrication system. It is designed for cutting of timber supports in working areas equipped with hydropower. The Novatek-powered chainsaw has the following features: • It incorporates the advantages of the Cheetah saw, namely: • Well established in the industry. • Self-levelling frame. • Patented automatic chain tensioning achieved by simply releasing and retightening a single nut, no operator adjustment is required. • Light weight and portability. • Standard tool steel or optional tungsten carbide tipped chain. • Direct injection of chain lube. The Novatek lubricator automatically applies chain lubrication during each cut. • The Novatek pelton motor provides a simple and powerful drive for quick cutting and water flushing of woodchips. • The motor is controlled via a simple trigger valve based on a proven robust design incorporating a safety catch – operated with one hand while the other hand is used to feed the saw into the cut. • Heavy duty cage encloses all components and hoses, allowing the saw to withstand harsh mining conditions.

UTILITY, WATERING DOWN GUN
The Novatek utility gun is used for: • Washing down and spraying, o with a lance with a fixed nozzle, or o with a variable nozzle that allows the spray cone to be adjusted from narrow to very wide. • As a control valve for other hydropowered equipment, such as chainsaws and other tools that require an on-off control. The Novatek utility guns are designed as a robust, fully repairable gun for harsh mining use. Note that the water used is not recirculated; pump and water reticulation design should cater for this. Features: • The gun body may be fitted with a variety of nozzle and lance configurations. • The trigger includes a safety catch to prevent accidental operation. • Low trigger force and progressive trigger action for excellent controllability. • In-line and angled outlet options. • Optional swivel fitting on inlet.
